Mt Morris, NY…The Empire State Pullers officially concluded the 2007 season with the annual awards banquet held last Saturday night. Some 200 guests gathered at the Genesee River Hotel in Mt Morris. Special guests, Mike Chastain, John Mears, and Kristi Chastain representing the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League were in attendance for both the banquet and the meeting. In addition to the season point champions being crowned, many specialty awards were also handed out.

Sharon Everman earned her third championship in the Modified Tractor division. Puller of the Year honors went to the Fintak Brothers, Bob and Joe.

Jason Hootman was honored for winning both titles in the Super Stock division.

Hootman was also awarded the Puller of the Year in both classes as well.

The 2WD championship was won for the third straight year by Ray Fintak. Dan MacDonald was awarded the Puller of the Year.

In the Super Farm division, Henry Everman was awarded the championship. Puller of the Year went to Scott Christ.

Specialty awards included,  Rookie of the Year, which went to Matt and Nathan Conrad. The ESP Pull of the Year honors went to the Penn Yan group. The Sportsmanship award went to first year puller, Frank Castro.

Plaques were handed out for the top finishers in all classes and the specialty awards. The Empire State Pullers would like to thank all pullers and their families, sponsors, promoters, and officials for making 2007 a great season.    

 Meeting Notes.....Officers for 2008 are as follows, President- Henry Everman, Vice President- Scott Christ, Secretary- Donna Holbrook, and Treasurer- Lloyd Christ.....Class reps for 2WD- Billy Leverentz and Heavy Super Stock- Dave Witkowski..... A pull in Canandaigua was confirmed for 2008.
